Empowering Afghan Dreams: Unlocking Education for Excluded Girls, One Classroom at a Time

It has been over
900
days since the Taliban banned teenage girls from school.

Afghan girls have the right to pursue education and dream of a future just like any other girl across the globe

Can you imagine a life without education and school? For millions of teenage Afghan girls banned from attending schools and colleges, there seems to be no respite in sight. This is not the first time that schools have been declared out-of-bound for girls in Afghanistan. They need our help and they need it now.

Your support will bring new hope to their lives. We are working to bring education back into the lives of Afghan girls who have been forced out of school with a team of dedicated women educators who believe in our vision that every girl has the right to pursue an education.

Girls and women have been banned from schools and colleges in Afghanistan. How can we accept defeat and sit and watch this abuse of the most innocent section of society?

The Kamila Sidiqi Foundation

The Kamila Sidiqi Foundation (launched in 2022) has been working to bring education back into the lives of Afghan girls who have been forced out of school. The network has a team of dedicated women educators who believe in our vision that every girl has the right to pursue an education.

We conduct classes for girls above 11 years of age who should have been at school but can’t attend classes (Taliban does not permit girls older than 11 to study in a school or attend college), in safe houses and locations across Kabul. We hope to be able to help girls in different provinces and locations and bring hope to as many lives as possible.

The Foundation was founded by Kamila Sidiqi (pictured) and is financed by Olga Travlos.
